Woodford School Lusaka sent a team representing the school at the just-ended Lusaka Regional Round of the World Scholars Cup. The round, which took place from 11 to February 12, was hosted by Rhodes Park School. This event saw our students join over 500 other students from across the country, coming together to compete, interact and learn from each other.

75 students from grades 5-7 represented our school. Placed in teams of 3, they worked together to compete in various events, including the Scholar’s Challenge, Collaborative Writing, Team Debates, and Scholar’s Bowl.

We were proud to see our students perform exceptionally well during this round, with several of them receiving several individual awards. It was great seeing our team achieve a finish in the Team Debate and Scholar’s Bowl events.

The success scored at the competition has instilled in our students with increased confidence, enthusiasm, and determination to continue working hard as they start their preparations for the upcoming Global round. We are proud of our team’s achievements and wish them all the best as they prepare for the Global Round.
