The Learning Support at Woodford was established in June 2021 to serve the wide spectrum of learning needs. The role of the learning support personnel ensures that the whole child’s needs are met, encompassing academic, social, and emotional learning.

The unit also exits to extend the learning achievements of learners who may require additional support or individualised assistance to maximise their learning potential during the course of learning at Woodford.

A qualified learning support teacher conducts assessments with learners identified with additional learning needs and collaborates with the academic team to develop Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), which outline SMART goals for each child and the appropriate support roles of parents and teachers.
