Cambridge Assessment International Education – Extension Course
Some teaching staff attended an Online Cambridge Curriculum Extension Course for three days. This
training allowed teachers to engage with international curriculum material and understand how modern curriculum frameworks inform and support 21st-century education. During this training, Woodford School teachers shared their teaching strategies with colleagues from different countries and continents.
The shared experiences in the teaching profession provided our team members with ideas on embedding a wider global perspective in their curriculum, ensuring that what we teach relates to the student’s personal experiences outside the class and beyond.
Our students can expect more engaging learning experiences and our commitment to providing an education that empowers them to love learning and acquire world-standard competencies.
Continuing Professional Development is of great importance to Woodford School Lusaka. The School invests in its staff members to enhance our students’ learning experiences and support our ambitious drive towards 21st-century teaching and standards.
In a world where change is inevitable, we choose to move with the times and participate in the latest developments, science and improved approaches to lesson delivery in the teaching profession. For this reason, School Management organised two CPDs for some old and new staff members.
Onboarding Training for New Staff
The objective of the CPD is to orient new staff members to the Woodford School Lusaka culture and provide motivation and inspiration to them.
The sessions also gave the new members insight into the life, work ethos and systems essential to the School’s operations. We are confident they will have joined our teaching teams with better knowledge and zeal to meet the expectations and goals ahead.
