The atmosphere at Woodford School Lusaka was filled with both joy and emotion as we gathered to celebrate the Farewell Luncheon for our Grade 7 Class of 2025. It was a day of reflection, laughter, and heartfelt goodbyes —a moment to honour the learners who have walked the halls of our school with pride, curiosity, and resilience.
For some, this has been a journey that began right here in Reception, growing and learning alongside the school as it flourished. For others, the path joined midway, but all have travelled together toward the same destination: the completion of their primary school journey. The luncheon marked not just an ending, but a beautiful new beginning.
As speeches were shared and memories recalled, it became clear that this class has left an indelible mark on the story of Woodford School Lusaka. From outstanding academic performances and leadership in school activities to their passion for sports and dedication to clubs and competitions, these learners have truly shaped what it means to be a Woodford pupil. Their energy, determination, and teamwork have been an inspiration to the younger grades who look up to them with admiration.
The day was a bittersweet celebration, filled with smiles, laughter, and a few tears as teachers and parents came together to say goodbye. The learners who once entered our gates as curious young children now leave as confident, capable, and compassionate young individuals ready to take on new challenges in secondary school.
Throughout their time here, they have embodied the spirit of our school motto: “Imiti Ikula Empanga.” Indeed, our Grade 7 students have established firm roots in knowledge, values, and friendship, and they now move forward ready to stand tall and make a difference wherever they go.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the teachers who guided, mentored, and nurtured these learners throughout their journey, and to the parents whose unwavering support has made every milestone possible.
As we bid farewell to the Class of 2025, we do so with immense pride and confidence. The world ahead is waiting, and we do not doubt that each of them will continue to shine brightly, carrying with them the lessons, memories, and values of Woodford School Lusaka.
