We are excited to announce that Folotiya Memorial Scholarships have been amended to give Woodford School Lusaka Grade 7 Learners more opportunities.
In the past, Woodford School Lusaka Learners would qualify and compete with candidates from other schools. The Rhodes Park Schools Group board is pleased to announce that Woodford School Lusaka learners now have two minor scholarships, as stated below.
- 1 Minor Scholarship (male) 75% of tuition fees
- 1 Minor Scholarship (female) 75% of tuition fees
The Folotiya Memorial Scholarships were introduced in 1997 in honour of the founders of Rhodes Park school, the late Mr and Mrs Mwansa and Lydia Folotiya.
The Scholarships aim to encourage and reward academic excellence. For the past two decades, many of the scholarship recipients have gone on to excel at institutions of higher learning around the world.
A candidate must be aged 13 and under at the time of writing the Grade 8 Entrance Examination to be eligible. The winners of the Folotiya Memorial Scholarships receive complimentary tuition at Rhodes Park School from Grade 8 to Grade 12.
The Scholarships are awarded to the qualifying candidates attaining the highest marks in the Rhodes Park School Grade 8 Entrance Examination.
There will be a special sitting of Grade 8 Entrance Examination for Woodford School Lusaka learners on Wednesday, 10 November 2021 at 09 00 hours, at the Kabulonga Campus. The Examination Fee of K1,000 payable before sitting this examination has been waived for Woodford School Lusaka learners.
Another sitting for candidates from other external schools will be held on Saturday, 20 November. If you know a friend or a close family member who has a child at any other school who is eligible, encourage them to register.
